GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death. Please join us on Thursday, November 17 at 6pm at the WestArk Conference Room (access off of the back parking lot). There is no charge for this event, but we do ask that you register here.
The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and other people who have experienced the holidays after their loved one’s death and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance. These people share honestly about:
Being prepared for surprising emotions that may hit over the holidays
What to do about traditions and other coming changes
How to handle holiday parties and invitations
How to survive potentially awkward moments with other people
Where to find comfort, strength, and hope in a seemingly hopeless time
Those who attend will receive a Survival Guide filled with practical tips, encouraging words, journaling ideas, and exercises for daily help through the holiday season.

On Friday, February 10, 2017, WestArk Church of Christ joined together with nearly 400 churches from around the world in hosting a “Night to Shine,” a special event for those with special needs, aged 14 and older.
We honored 153 guests and provide 350+ volunteers to help make a special night and to show them that they are Kings and Queens, loved by God.
The night included limo rides, help with hair and makeup, a crown or tiara, a red carpet entrance, dinner, and entertainment.
Pictures from the night can be viewed on our Facebook page.
This event is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, who provided a grant to help sponsor our first time hosting.
WestArk is having its annual Blue Jean Drive for the Hope Chest in Fort Smith and would love your help in spreading the word. Please see the information below and share with your friends, family and co-workers.
